Airstop VAP Vapour barrier is a quality vapour barrier sheeting and airtight layer of flame-retardant polyethylene for non-vapour retardant roof, wall and ceiling constructions. Air-Sealing with: Airstop Flex Adhesive Tape, Airstop Adhesive Tape, Airstop Sealant ‘Sprint’.
is a moisture-variable vapour barrier for use in the air-tight layer. The functional membrane changes its diffusion resistance depending on the current humidity. During the winter months room atmosphere is generally dryer. The sd-value of the vapour barrier increases. This process results in the penetration of only a little water vapour into the construction and/or into the insulation. In summer, when there is sufficient solar insolation, the relative humidity behind the membrane is higher as a result of reverse diffusion. The water molecules are stored in the membrane. The sd-value sinks, causing more water vapour to escape from the construction and into the rooms and the building element becomes dryer.

AluVap is a range of thermo-reflective* reinforced vapour barriers incorporating aluminium foil for maximising energy efficiency. The reflective foil surface improves the insulation characteristics of the installation by reflecting heat back into the building. 90g and 150g available, with the 150g product being extra durable. * As with all metallised membranes or membranes with an aluminium surface, to achieve thermal reflection an air space is required, and must be “of uniform thickness bounded by plane, smooth, parallel surfaces with no air leakage to or from the space”.
Airstop Flex Adhesive Tape is a slightly expandable, tear-resistant airtight tape. This is probably the best tape available in its category on the market, extremely versatile in its use, easy to work with, comfortable to the touch, and highly suitable for a range of applications. Can be used on membranes, wood, wood fibre, EPS, XPS, plywood, OSB, concrete, steel, inside and out. We recommend Bubi LF Bonding Primer for the preparation of porous surfaces.
Airstop Adhesive Tape is a tear-resistant airtight tape with adhesive generously applied and is suitable for a variety of bonding applications, indoors and out. It is a semi-rigid tape suitable for applying to straight joints, along substrates such as plywood, OSB and membranes. Its reinforced make-up makes it resistant to tearing. Isocell Airstop Elasto Adhesive Tape is slightly expandable, suitable for many areas including vapour retarders, barriers, OSB, DWD panels, wood, masonry and metal, indoors and outdoors. Prime masonry with Isocell Bubi LF Bonding Primer if necessary. Due to its malleability it is suitable for around small pipe and wire penetrations.
